Condolence: I've known Steve for the 25 years I've been in AA. He was a regular at the Gove Hill Men's Retreat in Vermont until he moved to TX. We just had our retreat this past weekend and Steve was on the mind of many of us. A number of humorous stories from over the years were related to the group including one that ended up with Steve's giant bear slippers up on top of the flagpole. He had a huge heart and will be missed.

Condolence: To Steve's Family: I've known Steve all my life. We went to school, church, and in the Navy together. We ran in to each other at Grandy Motors after many years. I looked at him and said, "I know you", he said, "who me?" I'm Rudy Wind, and we both went crazy, and happy talking about old times. I'm not much on words, I'm not just going to miss a good guy, but, a "Great", "Great" easy-going and fun to be with friend.

Condolence: I am very sorry to hear about Steve's (Zak) passing. Steve and I worked together at the AASF in Brainard Field and Windsor Locks for many years. He was always a joy to be around. He had a way to lift the spirits of all who were around him. Steve will be missed by all that knew him. God bless.

Condolence: To the family of Steve: I had the opportunity to be with Steve many times over the last 20 plus years and he will be truly missed by AA Connecticut. His humor was infectious in a group and always made everyone feel welcome and comfortable around him. During the quite moments at a weekend retreat his insight and gentleness were shared with those who needed it. I will miss Steve, and his animal slippers. Ken

Condolence: To the Family of Steve,
I am sorry for your loss. I have never met you, but Steve was a good friend to my brother Scott. I met Steve when my brother was ill. Steve helped care for him & gave him rides to his appointments for cancer treatment.
The compassion & kindness Steve showed my brother helped not only Scott, but our family as well.
I wish you peace during this difficult time. I am forever grateful for having known Steve.
Sincerely,
Bonnie L. Cameron

Condolence From: Jim Cross
Condolence: MaryAnn, Frank, Missy, Ashlyn and Evan,
Please accept my deepest sympathy. I shared my 5th step with Steve in a blinding snowstorm up at Gove Hill. He taught me that laughing was just as important in life as crying. I miss him terribly.
Love you always,
Jim Cross
