Obituary for Christine Fryer

Christine (Winkler) Fryer passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2015 in Waco. Her husband of 57 years, Roland Fryer, passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2015. Rosary and funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. Sunday, December 27, at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Boulevard, with Msgr. Isidore Rozycki officiating. Burial will follow in St. Martin's Cemetery.in Tours.

Christine was born May 4, 1929 in Tours, Texas to Sebastian and Janie (Kasberg) Winkler. She was the youngest of six siblings who proceeded her in death: Tracie Muras, Lillie Dulak, Eleanor Dulak, Christopher, Daniel and James Winkler.

Christine married Roland Fryer November 15, 1958. She was supervisor at G.M. Wood Manufacturer and R.V. Fashion for many years. She was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church and St. Veronica Circle. Christine defined the word caregiver throughout her life’s testimony. There was nothing that meant more to her or that she was more proud of than the closeness of her parents, siblings, and her nieces and nephews.

Baking for family gatherings and traveling with their lifelong friends was always cherished time to Christine.

Mrs. Fryer is survived by her husband of 57 years, Roland Fryer; sister-n-law, Doris Winkler; Patrick Patterson, Godson; and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Dr. John Kosarek, Sandra Tindell and Cindy Frasier for their care.

Pallbearers will be Billy Van Davis, Tommy Patterson, John Winkler, Paul Muras, Mark Winkler, Ray Dulak, and Patrick Patterson. Honorary pallbearers will be Ernest Dulak, Jr., Curtis Patterson, Mitch Davis, Jeff Kilgore, John Kilgore, and Gary Oxner.
