Dorothy Jane Turnipseede , 94, of Axtell passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2016 . Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Monday May 23, at the Church of the Open Door in Bellmead with Pastor Ronnie Holmes officiating. Burial will be at Waco Memorial Park, 6623 S Interstate 35. Visitation will be 4 to 6 P.M. Sunday May 22 at Oakcrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd in Waco.

Dorothy Jane Turnipseede was born June 14, 1921 in Marlin, Texas to Hubert and Nettie Daniel. She worked in the family business, Turnipseede Refrigeration Co, Inc. for 55 years. On August 18, 1945 Dorothy married the love of her life, Thomas Archie Turnipseede.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thomas Archie Turnipseede; sons, Thomas Larry Turnipseede and James David Turnipseede; sisters, Vera Mae Daniel and Mildred Swanzy; and brothers, H. L. Daniel, Grady Daniel, and Billy Daniel.

Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Donna Gayden and husband, Troy; sisters, Mary Alice Woods of Calvert, and Jeanette Gistinger of Marlin; brother, Garland Daniel of Cleveland, Texas; grandsons, Tommy Barnett and wife, Delinda, and Kyle Gayden and wife, Bridget of Florida; granddaughter, Casey Beck and husband Ronny of Fort Worth; great-grandchildren, Brittaney and Gregory Beltran, Brody Beck, Tyler and Anthony; and many nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

The pallbearers are Tommy Barnett, Gregory Beltran, Don Barnett, Jason Davis, James Hill, John Appell, and Tommy Patrick.
