Obituary for Thomas John Kopicki Jr.

Mr. Kopicki was born January 8, 1927, in Plymouth, PA to Thomas J. Kopicki, Sr. and Elizabeth (Wasilewski) Kopicki. He was raised and educated in Plymouth, PA, and married his hometown sweetheart, Eleanor Anna (Piscotty) Kopicki on February 14, 1953. Tom was transferred from Cold Spring, NY to Waco in 1976 to continue his 44 years of working for Marathon before retiring in 1993.

Mr. Kopicki was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in Italy with the 88th Blue Devil Division as a Sergeant in the Signal Company. He was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the American Legion.

Tom is survived by Eleanor, his beloved wife of 63 years; son, Thomas Andrew Kopicki and wife Pam, of Waco; daughters, Beth Ann Kopicki of Seaford, DE, and Linda (Kopicki) Dudley and husband, Ric of Lorena, TX; brothers, Paul Kopicki of Pottstown, PA, and Zennon Kopicki of Pawleys Island, SC; five grandchildren, Jason and Hannah Kopicki, Abigayle, Andrew and Jacob Good; six great-grandchildren, Cheyenne, Jadis, Amayah and Ayannah Kopicki, Alexa Kopicki and Benjamin Good; and five grand doggies, Baboo, Uno, Rojo, Princess and Max.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Theresa, Frances, Eleanor, Elizabeth and Florence; and brothers, Bernard, Frank, and Leonard.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Louis Catholic Church, special projects fund.
