The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Jean Steakley can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence From: Nancy Ridgway
Condolence: Jean was a wonderful person. We first knew her in Durant, OK. Her husband was running the Chevrolet dealership with his dad. My father, Jack Ridgway worked at the dealership. When Bobby moved to Waco and bought Waco Chevrolet, we moved, too, so my dad could be the General Manager of the dealership. My sister, Susan, was a good friend of Jean's daughter, Jeani. In Durant, they lived next door to my grandmother. We will all miss her.
