Obituary for Mari Nosé Howlett

Mari Nosé Howlett, aged 61, died Friday, July 9, 2016.

Mari was born March 12, 1955 in Tokyo, Japan. She grew up in Tokyo and attended a high school associated with Tokyo Arts and Music University. Upon acceptance to the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, England, Mari obtained a degree in advanced violin performance and went on to perform and teach music in Bermuda before eventually arriving to Dallas, TX and starting a family. In 2006, Mari moved to Waco and married Stephen Howlett.

Predeceasing Mari is her son Samuel and her parents Yoshiko and Sadao Nosé. She is survived by her husband Steve, son Izumi of Dallas, and relatives residing in Tokyo - her brother Atsushi Nosé and wife Kimie, and their children Atsuki and Fumika Nosé.

Mari was an accomplished yoga instructor. Her love was felt by her many yoga friends, extended family in Waco, and those who came to know her.

Mari and her family wish to express their gratitude for the many kindnesses extended to them in these last few months by her many friends, physicians at Providence Hospital, Waco Oncology, and the staff at Providence Hospice Care.

A memorial service will be held at Oakcrest Funeral Home on Tuesday, Sept. 13, at 5 p.m.
