Obituary for Michael (Mike) Charles Brenegar

Michael Charles (Mike) Brenegar, 41, of McGregor, passed away Saturday, October 22, 2016. Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 27, at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd., Waco, with Brian Brown officiating. Burial will follow in McGregor Cemetery.

Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26, at OakCrest Funeral Home.

Mike was born April 15, 1975 in Clifton. He attended schools in McGregor, and in 2000 became a lineman for Heart of Texas Electric Coop in McGregor. He enjoyed riding motorcycles with his friends and gathering with friends in his shop. He was a loving son, father, brother, uncle and friend to many, and will be missed dearly.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

He is survived by the love his life, Robin; four children, Railey Shoesmith, Marshall Shoesmith, Cade Brenegar and Rylie Paige Brenegar; father, A.C. Brinegar and his wife, Judy; mother, Mary Helen Overton and husband, Fred; sisters, Vicki Evans and Brenda Hulvey; many nieces and nephews, and his cat, Tinkerbell.

Pallbearers will be Randy Westerfield, Gene Redman, Jason Niemeier, Mike Casarez, Jarred Smith, Cody Whiteley, Teddy Meinkowsky, and Dennis (Booger) Huffman.

Honorary pallbearers will be the HOT Electric Coop linemen, and Jerry Niemeier, Danny Sloan, Avery Bell, Brent Evans, Colton Casarez, and Sidney Kasting.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made for his children at First National Bank of McGregor.
