Obituary for Grace Viola Lander

Mrs. Grace Viola Lander, 94, of Waco, passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at a local hospital. Services will be held 10 a.m., Saturday, February 18, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 1301 Hogan Lane, with the Rev. Larry Krueger officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Park. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, from 9 to 10 a.m.

Mrs. Lander was born August 1, 1922 in Otto, Texas. She was married to Alvin F. Lander on May 3, 1947, at St. Mark Lutheran Church, in Waco. Mrs. Lander has been a Charter member of St. Paul Lutheran Church since 1956.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin, on September 22, 1995; her sisters, Dorothy Banik, Helen Dulock, and Ruby Pavelka; and her brother, Roy Kunkel.

She is survived by many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Her family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of the Atrium of Bellmead for the outstanding care provided to Grace during her time there.

It was Grace’s desire that memorial contributions be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church.
