Obituary for Bruce W. Donley

Bruce Wayne Donley, 63, of Waco went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at Hillcrest Hospital. There will be a graveside service on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at 12 noon at the Rosemound Cemetery in Waco, Texas. There will be no visitation.

Bruce was born January 1, 1954 to Bill and Billie Rae Donley. He received his Associate's Degree in Criminal Justice from MCC in 1974. He worked for Beverly Hills Police Department, TSTC Campus Police and was Chief of Police of Lacy Lakeview for 12 years. In his later life he enjoyed riding his Harley motorcycle and loved riding with friends.

Bruce was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Jack and Maragret E Bowen; paternal grandparents, James and Velma Donley, his father, Billy Ray Donley; and his brother, Michael Ray Donley.

He is survived by his mother, Billie Rae Donley of Waco; daughter. Crystale Etchison and husband, Shawn Etchison of Robinson; grandchildren, Brittany and Riley Etchison of Robinson; mother of his only child, Wanda Lynch of Hewitt; niece and nephew, Callie and Chad Donley; great niece, Kaia Reed; and his beloved little dog, Jack.
