Obituary for Charles Jillson Adair

Charles Jillson Adair, 96, of Waco Texas, died February 19. Services will be held Friday, February 24 at 11 am at Rosemound Cemetery.

Mr. Adair was born July 18, 1920 in Hubbard, Texas to Charlie J. and Ridgie R. (Condor) Adair. He graduated from Hubbard High School June 1934 and enlisted in the Army Air Corp in September 1939. He served in Randolph and Mather Army Air Force bases and the Pacific in World War 2 and retired from the US Air Force in 1964 after serving in Parks, CA., Sheppard, TX., Castle, CA., Fairchild, Wa., Minot, ND., Homestead, FL., Evreux, France, and Lockborne, OH, teaching ground personnel and air crews on BT-9 and 13, B-25, C-120, KC-135 and B-52H aircraft.

He is survived by his younger brother Monterey Adair, two sons, Larry and Terry Adair and step children Gary Johnson and Jan Newsome.
