Obituary for Henrietta Voltin (Blue)

Henrietta  Voltin (Blue)
Henrietta Blue Voltin, 90, passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2017, at a local hospital. The Rosary will be recited at 6 p.m., Thursday, March 16, followed by visitation until 8 p.m. at OakCrest Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m., Friday, March 17, at Oakwood Cemetery.

Henrietta was born in Coryell City, Texas to Alva Blue and Violita Dunson Blue. Henrietta worked in women’s apparel and at the Waco Tribune Herald in downtown Waco. On October 10, 1959, she married Frank M. Voltin. To this marriage two daughters were born.

In 1979 she started her own business, The Quilted Kitchen/Henrietta’s. She retired after 26 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.

Henrietta is survived by husband, Frank M. Voltin; daughters, Mary Jane Voltin, and Susanne Gentry and husband, Jim; granddaughter, Kim Blankenship; grandson, Adam Whitaker; great-granddaughter, Taylor Jeffrey all of Waco; sister, Bobbie Knight of Beaumont; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or to the charity of your choice.
