Obituary for Murray Meroney

Murray Meroney, 61, of Waco, Texas passed away Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at a local hospital. A Celebration of Life Service will be at 2:00 pm Saturday, June 17, 2017 at OakCrest Funeral Home.
Visitation will be just prior to the service on Saturday.
Mr. Meroney was born March 15, 1956, to William Albert and Marian (Burns) Meroney. He attended Waco schools and graduated from Richfield High School in 1974 and attended MCC. He played football, baseball and was in the Boy Scouts. He worked in electrical sales then started a small landscaping business. He was a member of the National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution, and the Somerset Chapter Magna Charta Barons. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed raising cats and dogs.
He is survived by his loving wife, Michelle Meroney and sister, Eileen Meroney Melton and husband Jody, and five cats, two dogs, and many friends.
A special thanks to the staff at Providence ICU for their kindness and help during his stay.
Memorials may be made to Fuzzy Friends, the Waco Humane Society or Friends for Life.
