Charles D. Young, 82, of Hewitt went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 4, 2017. Funeral services will be 11:00 am on Monday, July 10, 2017 at OakCrest Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will from 6 to 8 pm on Sunday, July 9, 2017 at OakCrest Funeral Home.

Charles was born in Waco, on October 8, 1934 to Charles W. and Virgie (Hammond) Young. He served in the U. S. Navy, and then after completing his patriotic duty, went on to have a successful career in sales.

He is preceded in death by his parents, loving wife Rita, daughter Loretta Cockrell, and one brother, Vernon Young.

Charles is survived by his children, Donna Sapp, David Young, Charlie Young, Edward Campos, Sr., Linda Anderson and Cameron Lankford; brother, Ken Young and wife Linda. Eight grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Pallbearers are: Edward Campos Sr., Edward Campos, Jr., Richard Gonzales, Cameron Lankford, Joseph Dimas, Aidan Campos, T. J. Chambers and Brennan Young.
