Condolence: Lucy was a dear neighbor of the Cedar Ridge community - GNIW-CR! :-) She and Curt were full of life and stories and a loving couple example of marriages that set a standard for us all. Lucy hardly ever missed a CRNA meeting. Even when Curt was ill, she'd bring over a batch of lemon bars in exchange for a couple of hotdogs for her sweetheart...they loved hotdogs! And, we'd see them both at Dairy Queen sometimes - enjoying an ice cream cone from the comfort of the front seat of their big car! Lucy was a neighbor, a friend, and a caring soul. Just as we miss Curt, we'll miss Lucy - both of the Greatest Generation.

Condolence: I have such fond memories of Lucille Doan. She was a fun, loving person full of life! She and my Daddy, Robert Campbell, enjoyed teasing one another all the time! Her laughter was contagious! My Mother, Sue Campbell and your Mom had a good friendship and enjoyed being together after losing their mates. I have known Lucy and Curt since my childhood and remember what a loving couple they were! You could see their love for each other.....what a great example for all their children and grands. On one of my last visits, your Mom played the love songs your Dad wrote! Special love! Dale and I were sweet on each other in grade school. He asked me to go steady as I recall, but I wasn't allowed to go steady.....young love....fun times. Your Mom, I think, was ready to join Curt and go to her heavenly home. My sincere condolences for your loss to all the family.....she will be missed.
Love, Pam Campbell Key

Condolence: I will miss Lucille (and Curt, too), as I knew them all my life since I was a baby. I saw Lucille more than some of my own extended family. Her passing away is an end of an era for the neighborhood I grew up in. It was a pleasure knowing her and Curt for so many years. May she and Curt rest in peace. Sending love and prayers to her family.
