Obituary for Ricardo Salas Jr.

Ricardo Salas Jr.
Ricardo “Rickey” Salas, Jr., 40, of Waco passed away Sunday, September 24, 2017. Services will be held Saturday, September 30 at 2 pm at OakCrest Funeral Home.

Rickey was born October 21, 1976 in Waco, Texas. He attended school in both Waco and Hillsboro. Rickey worked in the HVAC industry his entire adult life. He loved his family, especially his children and enjoyed spending time with them and his granddaughter. He would do anything for them. He also savored the time spent with his extended family and friends. He was known best for acting silly and making people laugh. His willing to help, his silly demeanor, and his deep love for his friends and family will definitely be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Rickey was preceded in death by his mother, Carmen Jasso Flores Lopez; grandmother (who was like a mom), Blasa Salas; grandfathers, Daniel Salas and Placido Jasso; step-father, Domingo Flores; and his aunt, Linda Diaz.

He leaves behind to cherish memories of good times and much laughter his wife, Candy Kirks; children, Ricardo Trinidad Salas and wife, Courtney Taylor, Koby Salas and wife, Maribel Apodaca and daughter, Trinity Michaela Salas; granddaughter, Elaina Salas; father, Ricardo Salas, Sr. and wife, Lorena Valdez; brother, Joseph Lujan; and special aunt, Gloria “Goya” Banda.

Rickey’s family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has reached out to them to offer support and condolences, especially Hernandez Heating & Air and Town Hall Estates for their love, concern and support during this difficult time.
