Joe Earl  Adams
Joe Earl Adams, 87, of Hewitt passed away Sunday, October 29, 2017 at his home. Services will be held Friday, November 3 at 1 pm at OakCrest Funeral Home with burial to follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, November 2 from 6 to 8 pm at the funeral home.

Joe was born August 20, 1930 in Lubbock, Texas. He later moved to Chilton and graduated from high school there, serving as the Class President. After graduating, he joined the U.S. Air Force and served in the Korean War as an aerial observer for the Air Weather Service. He later entered the finance business and banking profession and was a Vice President at several banks prior to his retirement. Joe attended college at Baylor University, University of Illinois, University of California and several Jr. Colleges in California.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Elmer M. and Mary Ann (Wooley) Adams and his beloved wife, Ruth Marie Adams.

Joe is survived by his daughter, June Goodnight; grandson, James Tristan Goodnight; granddaughter, Katlyn Goodnight; great grandson, James Alex Goodnight; nieces and nephews to include, Linda Hughes and husband, Charlie, Gina Walker, and James T. Adams and wife, Judy; great niece, Payton; great nephew, Matt; other extended family members and many dear friends.
