Condolence From: Charlie Wittenburg
Condolence: I have known Robert Carter for over 20 years. I served as his Unit Administrator and Detachment First Sergeant in the 348th Engr Det Robert was an outstanding friend and soldier. He would always go the extra miles to get his mission done and take care of his soldiers that were under him. What a tremendous loss. I will dearly miss Robert. Keeping all of you in our prayers.

Condolence: Robert’s family: I'm so sorry for your loss. I went through a similar situation and I was very helped by the hope that I found in the Bible in John 5:28, which says, "Do not amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out". I am sending you a link with more information on this hope. jw.org/finder?pub=w14&issue=20140101&wtlocale=E&srcid=share

Condolence: We often hear the trm "one of a kind", Robert was way beyond that. Never have I known a person so giving as Robert. It was, indeed, an honor to have him as a friend, a compatriot, and a fellow veteran. We have lost a true Shepard of God. Our Lord has you and He will give you the peace you so richly deserve.

Condolence: To the family of a fallen Comrade in Arms, this is a tragic lose for the family, VFW, and the community. Robert and I served together in the Army in 1992-1993, which included tours in Germany and Belize. The lose of love one is one of the hardest things in life and everyone handles it in their own way. I lost my first wife Debbie, Her and I were friends with Robert while assigned to the 348th ENG DET. No words can smooth the pain, however, they can share memories of the good times. When I go on my next ride it will be for him. Prayers in our hearts.

Condolence: I am Blessed to have known ONE of the Best... Can say with absolute certainty, Robert Carter, was the Most Selfless of anyone I’ve ever known. Almost an unbearable loss; UNLESS, one knows Dear Robert was a Man Of God...and his Family as well. Heaven has gained; we have lost... I pray for his Beloved: Wife, Father, Children, and Siblings. Follow Robert’s example, hold tightly to his Faith in our Savior. ...Your Dear One “led by example.” If we follow his lead, our “Mourning will turn to Joy.”
