Rita was widowed at a young age and devoted her life to supporting and raising her 7 children. She worked for Owens-Brockway for many years and retired in 1994 when she opened Genesis Antiques in downtown Waco where she used her European heritage and eye for antiques to spot the real thing! She is survived by her son, Roy (Cheryl) Reid; her daughter, Barbara Reid; her daughter, Heidi Vick; her daughter, Pat (Larry) Payne; her son Michael (Lisa) Reid and her daughter Sheila (Peter) Torres. She is preceded in death and excited to reunite in heaven with her parents, husband and youngest son, Jamie. Rita, fondly called Oma, leaves a legacy of 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Oma will be remembered for her unwavering strength and the sacrifices made for her children, her kindness for others, her laughter, her unconditional love and her many stories of her early life in Austria!
