Obituary for Ellen L. Geisler

Ellen L.  Geisler
Ellen L. Geisler, 80, of Waco, passed away on Christmas Day, Monday, Dec. 25. 2017, after a brief illness.

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 29, at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Boulevard, with Dr. Tillman Rodabough officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 28, at OakCrest Funeral Home.

Ellen was born November 27, 1937 to Morton and Ruby (Vaughn) Quisenberry. She graduated in 1956 from Phillips High School and was a dedicated Blackhawk all her life. After graduation she went to West Texas State University in Canyon. There she met the love of her life Keith Geisler whom she married in 1958. They lived in LeFores for several years. Then moved to Waco in 1967 where they raised their family. Her zest for life was taking care of her husband and family. She was a great wife, mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and four siblings.

Survived by her sons, David Geisler and wife, Debbie, and Gerald Geisler and wife, Terri; grandkids, Paula Geisler, Keith Geisler and wife, Heatherann, Garrett Geisler and Shelbi Geisler, and special family member, Laura Geisler.

Pallbearers will be David Geisler, Gerald Geisler, Keith Geisler, Garrett Geisler, Kendall Messer and Michael Lothlen.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the nurses and staff of Providence Hospital 4 South for their excellent care and compassion, Providence Hospice and all the friends and family.
