John David Willingham

Services for John David Willingham of Waco Texas will be 1 p.m. Saturday, January 13, 2018 at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Boulevard, Waco Texas (254) 772-5272 officiated by Pastor Blake Henry. He will be interred at White Rock Cemetery in Ross Tx alongside his grandparents and daddy.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday at OakCrest Funeral Home.

John David was born in Waco on August 31, 1959, and he has a been a lifelong resident of Waco. He went to be with our Heavenly Father, on Monday, January 8, 2018. He was 58 years 4 months and 8 days.

He was an avid fisherman, pool shark and loving and dedicated Son, Papa, Grand Papa, and Friend.

John worked in construction as a heavy equipment operator for over 40 years. He was highly respected for his dedication to detail or ability to “Willinghamize” the completion of any task as stated by a previous foreman.

John David is survived by his loving wife, Donna Rose of 14 years; his mother, Mary JoAnn Tipps of Waco; sons, James Harlan Willingham and family of Corsicana, Anthoney Wayne Iafrate and family of Cedar Hill, John Lawrence James and family of Waco; daughters, LuRanie Leigh Webb and family of Slidell, Louisiana, and Christina Marie Robbins and family of Corsicana; brother, Michael Harlan Willingham and family of Penelope, and sister, Elaine Hughes and family of Houston.

John and Donna have nine grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and numerous friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents as well as his daddy, Harlan Odie Willingham of Waco.

Pallbearers will be James Harlan Willingham, Roland Bryant, Tyler LaFrance, Jason Fuselier, Mark Pritchard and Mark Harvey.

Honorary pallbearer will be Steve Paul.

John David will be deeply missed by the many who held dear the treasure of his presence in their Life.
