Obituary for Thomas Guerra Jr.

Thomas Guerra Jr. was born August 21, 1954 in Waco, Texas to Thomas Sr and Lucinda Guerra. He was the younger brother to Rebecca Guerra-Gaskle and Virginia Quintanilla. Thomas served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in the U.S. and Germany. When he returned to Waco, he began working for H&B Packing, where he worked for 40 years. During this time, he also owned Vito’s Burritos.

Thomas loved working on cars, the Dallas Cowboys, fishing, his hamburgers and Dr. Peppers and riding his motorcycle with his best friends, Arthur Lopez and David Lujan. He most enjoyed his trips to the casinos with his wife, Gloria, and having her by his side.

He also loved spending time with his other girls, Gabriella (Penga), Mya, Angelina and Layla.

Thomas was a father to his children, nephews and nieces and he will be missed by so many.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to Veteran’s Affairs Coffee Auxiliary or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.

He is preceded in death by Thomas Sr and Lucinda Guerra, Charlie Moreno, David Quintanilla, Diya Angelica Guerra, David Quintanilla Jr. and Delia Hernandez.

The family he leaves behind are his wife, Gloria; children, Gabriel A. Guerra and wife, Maricruz; Rebecca Rodriguez and husband, Adrian Sr.; James Guerra and wife, Marja of Las Vegas, NV; Nicholasa P. Hernandez-Horne and husband, Darnell; Christopher Riggins and wife, Tina; Thomas A. Hernandez.
Siblings: Gilbert and Lillie Quintanilla, Johnny and Margaret Gonzales; Rebecca Guerra-Gaskle and husband, Robert of Garland and Virginia Quintanilla of Dallas.

Pallbearers: Gabriel Alexander Guerra, D’Angelo Guerra, Damian Veracruz, Jaelyn Stroud, Nate Stroud, Matthew Campos, Johnny Hogan and Agustin Cavazos Jr.
