Larna Lee Warren née Carlile, 71, of McGregor went to be with her Lord on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Providence Medical Center ICU in Waco.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Marsha Knippa of Ingleside; her brother, Ernest “Rosie, Bubba” Carlile of Houston; and her mother, Dorothy “Dot” Cravy of McGregor.

Mrs. Warren is survived by her four children, Mark Warren of Waco, John Warren of McGregor, Andrea Warren, and Timothy Warren of McGregor; her granddaughter, Megan Warren of Billings, MT; Don Stevens of Waco; nieces, Kimberly Leftwich of Ingleside and Jennifer Eckhart of Houston. Larna also leaves behind many other cousins and friends, all of whom she loved dearly.

Larna was born July 31, 1946 in Mexia and lived in several places, including Ingleside, Jewett, Buffalo, and McGregor where she moved after the death of her sister, Marsha in 1988. Larna will be remembered for her kind and open heart by all of the children, now adults whom she “adopted” into her family over the years. She is also remembered for her beautiful and angelic singing voice which survives on several vinyl records from the 1960’s. Larna was a great lover and collector of music throughout her life and would often be asked to sing in church and at various functions.

A memorial service will be held at OakCrest Funeral Home on Friday, June 8 at 10 am.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Providence ICU or Heart of Texas MHMR.
