Obituary for Anthony Cole Puente Jr.

Anthony Cole Puente, “Lil Papas”, 4, went to be with the Lord on Friday, November 2, 2018.

Graveside services will be 11 am Friday, November 9, 2018 at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday November 8, 2018 at 6 pm to 8 pm, with a prayer service at 7 pm at OakCrest Funeral Home.

Anthony was born June 17, 2014 in Waco, Texas to Anthony Puente and Jennifer Marie Aleman. Lil Papas as he was known to many was an outgoing little guy who touched everyone he came in contact with. He loved playing with his toy guns, playing pool, with the help of chairs, and liked to have his hair cut. His favorite foods were chicken nuggets and cheese pizza.

Lil Papas is survived by his parents; siblings, Marisol Puente, Andrew and Holly Perez; grandparents, and many aunts, uncles and cousins. As well as special Mom Clara, and his pet cat.

I want to offer my condolences to the Puente family. It is a painful thing to lose a precious one in death, especially when it is little child. It pains our Heavenly Father because he said “The fruit of the womb is a reward”(Psalms 127:3). He calls death an enemy and that it will be removed forever__ Revelation 21:4; 1 Corinthians 15:26 “The last enemy, death, is to be brought to nothing.” He promised to undo the effect of death by bringing all our love ones in the memorial tombs back to life__ Isaiah 26:19 "Your dead will rise ...Awake and shout joyfully you residents in the dust! ...the earth will let those powerless in death come to life. What a joy it will be to see baby James again to enjoy life as our Creator purpose__ He will then “satisfy the desire of every living thing” (Psalms 145:16).
