Obituary for Cecilia Jimenez

Cecilia Montoya Jimenez was born on November 23, 1951, in Asa, Texas to Santos G. and Maria Antonia (Alonzo) Montoya. She attended Waco schools, and earned her Nursing Assistant Certificate. She worked as an assistant in home health care for many years, serving her many clients with love and care, as if they were her own family.

Cecilia was a good daughter, mother to her two daughters, and a great “granny”.

She loved people, and was a excellent cook, well known for her “Mexican Rice”, which was served at many special events.

She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Pauline; brothers, Joe, Faustino, Clemente, Isidro, Jesse, Narsiso and Santiago.

Cecilia is survived by her loving daughters, Maria Antonia Jimenez and Jimmy Viera and Marisela Cecilia Jimenez and Thomas Escalante; grandchildren, Derrick and Daniel Villa, Jase and Jaxon Viera, Raymond, Eliya Cervantez, and Thomas Escalante, Jr, great grandchildren; Litzy, Scarlet, Derrick,Jr., Amyah and Jaziah. Also survived by sisters, Sr. Julia, Tonita Montoya, Patsy Tinsley and Socorro Olivarez; brothers, Jimmy, Tony and Irieno.

Pallbearers are; Daniel Villa, Derrick Villa, Raymond Cervantez, Jr., Mario Olivares, Jr., Juan Jimenez, Joe Montoya, Jr., Gregorio Montoya and Daniel Tinsley.

Cecilia was a true friend to all she knew, she was one of a kind.
