Obituary for Deborah Ann "Debbie" Ingram

Deborah (Debbie) Ann Ingram went home to be with her Lord November 01, 2011 at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas.

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday. Nov. 4, at OakCrest Funeral Home Friday with Rev. Curtis Holland officiating. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 3, at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Boulevard.

Debbie was born April 30, 1957 to Joe E. and Joann (Clemons) Ingram in Clifton. She was their first born. She lived in McGregor, Eastland, Wharton, Waco, College Station and back to Central Texas. She was involved in her churches in those communities. She attended elementary and junior high schools in Wharton, moving to Waco in 1971. She attended and graduated from Richfield High School in 1975. After graduation, she held various jobs in Waco and College Station. Her children were born in College Station. She and her family moved to McGregor in 1991. Debbie loved antiquing, and she and her family opened an antique shop in McGregor. She later received her RN degree from McLennan Community College. When she became ill, she was working at the DePaul Center.

Debbie loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed playing games with friends and family. Always a people person, she never met a stranger. She was a loving caregiver. She enjoyed traveling and the outdoors, viewing God's beautiful creation. She and Jim had a wonderful vacation in Colorado in September, and she became ill shortly after returning home.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Clarice W. and Pearl Alice (Kelly) Clemons and Cullen F. and Annie Pearl (Cook) Ingram.

Survivors include her husband, James Gregory of Waco; daughters, Lindsay Ann Shannon of Hewitt, and Jennifer Lynn Ramos of Aurora, Colorado; son, Kelly Ray Shannon of Waco; parents; sisters, Laurie Clark and husband, Steve of Midland; Stephanie Yates of Orange, California; brother, Tim Ingram and wife, Leslie, of Hewitt; grandchildren, Alayna, Christian, and Blissany Ramos; uncle, John Larry Ingram and wife, Nancy, of Cedar Park; aunt, Beverly Ingram of Rowlett; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family would like to thank DePaul Center, Providence Medical Center, Baylor Medical Center and the many friends for their prayers, concern and care.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be sent to Deborah (Debbie) Ann Ingram Nursing Scholarship, McLennan Community College Foundation, 1400 College Drive, Waco, Texas 76708.
