Mildred Federwisch Yett, 77, of Waco, Texas, passed away, July 25, 2016. Graveside Services will be 10:00 am, Thursday, July 28, 2016 at Oakwood Cemetery with Pastor Jerry Arthur and Rev. Harold Federwisch officiating.

Mrs. Yett was born in Riesel, Texas, to Paul T. and Lena (Kunze) Federwisch on March 16, 1939. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, and a wonderful friend to all. She attended school in Riesel. In 1973 Mildred met a young man named Kenneth Yett, and they became good friends and that friendship grew into Kenneth becoming the love of her life. They were married on April 18, 1980. Mildred was a member of Meier Settlement United Methodist Church. She worked at Kitok’s Restaurant for 27 years, retiring in 2002. She loved her Husky Skiatook, and her 1973 Caddy. Mildred and Ken loved to travel out of state as well as in Texas and enjoyed finding new and interesting out of the way places to visit. One of her favorites was Frank’s Steaks in Schulenberg, Texas. Ken and Mildred made many trips to Rockport, Texas to fish the bay and stay with relatives. She enjoyed so much having meals at the farm on Sundays, after church, in Riesel. During the holidays she treasured having all the family over for meals, fun and laughter. Mildred was the caregiver to her mother, and her mother and father in law, for many years. She truly was a perfectionist in everything. Mildred fought a courageous fight with cancer of the pancreas for many months.

Mildred was preceded in death by her parents and granddaughter, Lynnette Potts.

She is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Kenneth; daughters, Roberta Paris Mathis and husband Kent, and Carolyn Paris Potts and husband, Thomas; grandsons, Bradley Potts, and Chris Thornton; granddaughters, Julie Potts Mitchell and husband Douglas, Christy Thornton Hale and husband Lance, Lisa Potts Byrd and husband Adam; great grandsons, Liam Hale, Chase Mitchell, and Owen Byrd; great granddaughters, Jessica Mitchell, Stephanie Mitchell, Lilly Hale and Layla Byrd, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Special thank you to her caregivers, Kent and Roberta Mathis, Carolyn Potts, the nurses at Providence Hospice, and the staff of Right At Home for the outstanding care given to Mildred.
