Saloman "Sal"  Quinones
Saloman (Sal) Quinones, 78, of Downsville, entered into his heavenly home Monday, November 21, 2016, surrounded by his loving family. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 am Monday November, 28, 2016, St. Francis on the Brazos Catholic Church with Rev. Roman Burgos as Celebrant. Burial will be at a later date at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation with the family will be 5:30 to 8:00 pm, with Vigil service at 7:00 pm at OakCrest Funeral Home.



He was born October 22, 1938 in Moody, Texas to Bentura and Vicenta (Gutierrez) Quinones. He attended local schools and then went on to work for Lankart Seed and Gin Co., Davis Iron Works, General Tire and Rubber Co, and returned to Davis Iron Works where he retired after 20 years of service. Sal married the love of his life, Frances Villafana and they had a wonderful and loving marriage until his passing. Sal was a good son, wonderful husband and a great father to the apple of his eye, his daughter Christine (Tina).



Sal was preceded in death, by his parents, sister, Ofelia Quinones; brothers, Andres, Bentura, Jr. and Sabas Quinones.



He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Frances (KiKa) Quinones; daughter, Christine (Tina) Quinones and partner Charles Bordovsky, sisters; Mary Quinones, Andrea (Nena) Quinones, Refugia Duarte, all of Waco, Texas Nicanora Mayorth and husband Frank of Dallas, Texas and Susan Guerrero and husband Frank of Denver City, Texas; brothers, Roman Quinones and wife Elvira of Dallas, Texas and Frank Quinones of Waco, Texas; several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; many nieces and nephews; and special grand pets, Sophia, Sugar Ray, Lady and Carlitos.
