Feb. 8, 1941 - March 14, 2017
Donald Allen Easterwood, Sr., 76, of Waco, Texas, passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2017. A memorial service celebrating Donald's life will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 25, at OakCrest Funeral Home, with Rev. Roy Marshall officiating.
Mr. Easterwood was born February 8, 1941 in Waco, Texas, to Bert and Katherine (Powell) Easterwood. He graduated from Waco schools, and worked for KWTX – Channel 10 as a commercial artist for over 25 years, during that period of time he built all the sets used at the station. Donald showed his work throughout Texas, as well as hosting private viewing of his art work. He also worked in home interior design. In 1992, Donald was honored by Ducks Unlimited of Texas, as Artist of the Year, for his beautiful work.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his loving family; daughter, Kay Easterwood Sanchez and husband, Alfredo, of Flower Mound, Texas; sons, Mark Easterwood, of Georgetown, Texas, and Don Easterwood, Jr. and wife, Iona, of Waco, Texas; grandchildren, Leah Easterwood and Avary Sanchez; brothers, Bobby Easterwood and wife, Jeanette, of Lorena, Texas, Charles Easterwood and wife, Marcia, of Fairfield, Texas, and Ralph Easterwood and wife, Melinda, of China Spring, Texas.
The heavenly colors will be enhanced by Donald's presence.
