Angel Faustino Melendez, 27, of Waco, Texas passed away on Sunday, September 17, 2017. Funeral Services will be 11 am Saturday September 23, 2017 at OakCrest Funeral Home, with Pastor Yolanda Romero officiating. Burial will be at Rosemound Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8 pm on Friday, September 22, at the funeral home.

Angel was born December 20. 1989 in Waco, Texas to Guadalupe Melendez Garcia. He grew up in Waco, and attended public schools and graduated from University High School. He was a good son, father, and dear friend to his many friends.

Angel enjoyed working and was a leader at his place of employment. He enjoyed all sports, especially the Philadelphia Eagles, Lakers and Baylor. He liked to dress in Polo shirts, and his Air Jordan’s, and always cared about how he looked. Angel was a lot of fun to be around.

Angel is survived by his loving mother, Guadalupe Melendez Garcia and husband Chris Ordones, Sr., step-father, Jose Francisco Garcia, Sr., and wife Lori, his son, Angel Faustino Melendez, Jr., daughter, Aly Rae Melendez, mother of his daughter, Elesa Maimbourg, and Abby Zuniga the mother of his son; brothers and sisters, Marie Melendez, Jose Garcia, Jr., Isaiah Garcia, Noah Garcia and Meiah Garcia. Many aunts and uncles, cousins, one niece and nephew.

Pallbearers are: Jose Garcia, Jr., Isaiah Garcia, Noah Garcia, Anthony Davis, Leno Bush, Jasmine Warren, Bradley Ware and Tony Molina. Honorary Pallbearers, are Angel Melendez, Jr., Brandon Barnes, Earl Graves, Oscar Lagunas and Mario Outland
