What a man

I was a senior in high school (1978) when I went to work for Allied Tire Company. There I worked with Barbara Harwell, wife to the Sheriff,  and several other henchmen that Red McCollum had working there. Allen was different. He was mild mannered, always wanted to teach you things about different tire manufacturers, like General Tire. I have never met anyone who had the temperament that Allen showed. He was quiet but resourceful. He taught me how to throw those big truck tires like they put on 18 wheelers. Allen said he had never seen someone like me get a tire that high in the air. He bragged to Mr McCollum about what I could do in the warehouse and Allen said I could throw tires like that all day and no problems. If we screwed up on an order that he had on his truck that was wrong, he never complained about our screwups. He always had a smile on his face. Several years ago I worked for an automotive shop in West. Allen came to work there for Charlie Polansky. Same Allen,

To his family I am sorry for your loss. I know how hard it is to lose someone that's close to you. I lost my dad to cancer 3 years ago after 30 years of military service. Allen put in the same work day in and day out like my dad did, never complaining about anything, . It doesn't help with it being this time of year so close to the holidays and you lose someone so dear. We will see Allen again, with that quirky smile he had, put its the memories that will get you thru the days of suffering and loss. He will be missed greatly, and to his family, I have never met anyone any nicer than Allen and I know you have suffered a great loss but GOD will surely show you the path Allen walked. And I believe he is in a better place than we are. To my old friend, I thank you for the generosity and work friendship that we had. I will miss you . God blessed you Allen , but God will bless your family to get them thru this.
