Bobbie Jean Monthie Richter Welch, of Hewitt, passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at Senior Care of Hewitt after a lengthy illness. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 9, at the Gerald Cemetery. Pastors Randy Scrivener and Eddie Ray Scheler Jr. will officiate.

Bobbie was a local hairdresser, enjoyed bowling, and the Dallas Cowboy football games. She helped raise the children of Rubert Richter, Judy Ann Richter Patrick and Ronald Dean Richter.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Henry and Emma Monthie; three sisters; two brothers; and her husband, Rubert Richter.

She is survived by her loving husband, Monroe Welch; a sister, Lillian Pavlas; a daughter, Judy Patrick and husband Gerald; a son, Ronald Dean Richter and wife Diane; and a special niece, Helen Jo Hurst and husband David. She is also survived by four grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, as well as many other nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hewitt First United Methodist Church or Gerald Cemetery.
