Obituary for Lois Moreno

Lois  Moreno
Lois Flores Moreno, 85 of Waco, Texas passed away Thursday, February 1, 2018. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 am Monday, February 5, 2018 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with Rev. Benjamin Magnaye, as Celebrant, with burial at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 3 pm to 5 pm, with Rosary service at 4 pm on Sunday February 4, 2018 at OakCrest Funeral Home.
Lois was born October, 13, 1932, in Asa, Texas to Joe and Sara (Quinones) Flores. She was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother. She was an active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and a member of the Guadalupana Society. Lois will be remembered for her love and concern for others, as well as for her wonderful cooking. She was employed by E. O. A. C. Headstart/Early Headstart as a teacher for over 40 years. Lois truly loved children, and was very happy to be a part of their early education.
Lois is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Tina Turrubiartes; son, Richard (Canchi) Lopez; grandchildren, Noel Becerra and Josue Lopez; one sister, and 7 brothers.
She is survived by her loving daughters; Sara Salazar and husband, Steve, Cynthia Casarez, Patricia Garza and husband Lupe, and Sally Balderas; son, Beto Moreno; 15 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, 14 great great grandchildrenand special granddaughter, Lakesha (KiKi) Lopez; brother, Emmitt Flores and wife Rita.
Honorary pallbearers are son, Beto Moreno and grandson, Dennis Casarez. Active pallbearers are grandchildren; Jordan Evens, Carlos Turrubiartes, Sammie Campbell, Gabriel Garza, Lupe Garza III, Jerod Yepma and Richard Jesus Lopez
