Obituary for Cornelio Bravo Sr.

Cornelio Bravo Sr. also known as “Rabbit” peacefully passed away surrounded by family on August 24, 2018.

Cornelio was born on Oct. 17 1934 in Waco, Tx to Juan and Maria Bravo. He was the fifth child out of six and enjoyed his family. He started his long years of working starting at Frank Smith’s Produce as a truck driver and then transferring to Ruben’s Produce, and finally to Genecov’s Food Service where he was a truck driver and then ended there as a foreman. After that, he went on to be a jack of all trades to help with various jobs for many family members and friends.

His hobbies included dancing, fishing, playing dominos and pool, in his younger years, playing baseball for the Waco Eagles, boxing, and picking up cans whenever he could. He was a huge Dallas Cowboy Fan and loved watching football. He also enjoyed watching his grandkids and great grandkids play sports. He was the light of all family get togethers and always had a smile on his face. He will be missed and loved by everyone who ever got to know him and all his friends and family.

He is preceded in death by his parents Juan and Maria, his two brothers Ruben and Carlos. His is also preceded in death by his daughter in law Adelena Bravo, son in law Charles Wallace, and daughter in law Sandy Bravo.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Julia Maldonado; children, Yolanda Duarte and husband Jose; Sylvia Wallace; Cornelio Jr.; John; and Angel and Leticia. Grandchildren, Celeste M. Bravo; Rebecca Rodriguez and husband Adrian Sr.; Cornelio III; Cornelio Isaac; Michael Becerra; Brianna M.; and Angel Jr.
Great Grandchildren, Candice Sauseda; Crystal Stanfill and husband Reno; Ricardo Ramirez Jr. and Isaiah Ramirez; Adrian Jr., Julian, & Victoria Rodriguez; Jazmine, Kloe, & Isaac; Angel Cavantes; and Seraphina M. Hickey. Great Great Children, Joshua Rodriguez; Tidus & Yuna Stanfill; and Aria & Harmoney Bautista. Siblings, Joe, Elvira, & Rosie. Along with many nieces and nephews and other family members.
