I just discovered that Dr. Phillips died almost two years ago. She was my mentor and inspiration when I first worked in Dallas ISD as a librarian. She was always considerate in he guidance. I actually cried at her retirement reception when she left Dallas. I corresponded wit =h her once several years ago and sent her pictures of our time working together. She said she remembered me and I hope she really did because I will never forget her.

I am greatful for LuOuida’s kind words and friendship over the years. Hearing from LuOuida always brought me joy. She will be missed by me as well as all the many people who knew her. May she receive a multitude of blessings knowing how much she touched our hearts. With Love, Christina
