Abel M. Flores, 60, of Waco, passed away Friday, December 21, 2012 at Hillcrest Hospital. Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday December 27, 2012 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 2621 Bagby Ave. Visitation will be Wed., December 26, 6 - 8 p.m. with the rosary starting at 7 p.m. at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd.
Abel graduated from University High School, and attended college and received several associate degrees. He was a security guard most of his life. He loved fishing and was a pool shark (HUSTLER!). Taking care of his children was a number 1 priority. He had a big heart, and always kept his door open to his friends and family. He was a loving son, father, grandfather, brother and friend to many. He was dearly loved, and will be greatly missed. We will keep him in our hearts forever.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank H. Flores and Clemencia Martinez Flores.
He is survived by three sons, Colt, Robert and his wife Christian, and Marcos; daughter, Marlynn, Ruth and her husband Martin Rodriguez, and Alma and his husband Francisco Gonzalez. And Judith; 32 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild’ sister, Irma Flores and her husband Jorge Supulveda; brother, Victor Perez; 5 nephews and a niece.
Pallbearers will be Colt Flores, Jr., Robert Flores, Marcos Flores, Martin Rodriguez, Javier Vences Jr., Oscar Segovia Jr., Vincent Resendez Jr., and Edmundo Ambros.
