Adan G. Anzures, 77, of Waco, passed away Friday, November 20, 2009 at his home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church by Father Lawrence Solar. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery.
Visitation will start 6 p.m. Tuesday with Rosary service at 7 p.m. at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd.
Adan was born April 16, 1932 in Mission, Tx., and was a millwright and journeyman retiree from GMC Truck & Coach in Pontiac, MI. During his 30 years of service at GMC, he earned many certificates of training.
After retirement he moved to Waco where he was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, and a volunteer with Meals on Wheels.
He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers and three sisters.
Adan is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Leonor C. Anzures; three daughters, Adela Zapata, Yolanda C. Anzures, and Delia Zapata and husband, Sergio of Waco; son, Adan Anzures Jr. and wife Sheridan, and daughter, Irene Castro and husband, Benansio, of Pontaic, MI; 14 grandchildren, and 28 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Andres Anzures and wife, Lydia, of Pontiac, MI. He loved and was loved by many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, cousins, loving nieces and nephews, and friends and neighbors.
