Adeline White

Adeline E. White, 75, of Waco, passed away Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at Royal Manor Nursing Home.

Services will be at 12:00 noon Saturday, December 20 at the OakCrest Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ivan Ker officiating. Graveside services will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd.

Adeline was born April 10, 1933, in Mound, Texas to Herman William Cathey and Bertha Annie Bragewitz, and grew up in Coryell and McLennan Counties. On January 25, 1950, she married S. J. (Jack) White, Jr., and would be celebrating 59 years of marriage. Adeline and Jack were the proud parents of two children, Kathy and Jack. Adeline was in charge of the Northern Little League Concession for many years. She was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church. She was a loving Mother and wife, and will be missed by many.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.

Adeline is survived by her children, Kathy Tooker and special friend, Gary Kramolis, and Jack White and wife, Lisa White of Waco; sister, Dorothy Cranfill and husband, M. C. Cranfill of Abilene; brothers, Jack Cathey, Paul Cathey and wife, Helen Cathey; Harold Cathey and wife, Beth Cathey, all of Waco, and Audy Cathey and wife Janice, of Oklahoma; and meemaw's precious grandchildren, Ryan White and wife, Kate of Dallas, Brittany Reed and husband, Bryce of New Mexico, and Jared White and wife, Abigail of Houston.

Pallbearers will be Ryan White, Jared White, Mickey Williams, Michael Williams, David, Williams, and Gary Kramolis.

The family would especially like to thank Royal Manor Nursing Home and Providence Hospice for all their kindness and care in taking care of mom during her illness.
