Alan Ray Cummings, 53, of Waco, passed away Thursday in a Waco hospital. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Cogdell Memorial United Methodist Church with Rev. Kay Hawkins officiating. A reception with the family will follow.
Alan was born in Georgetown to Jean (Thrush) Cummings and the late Charles Cummings. He graduated from Richfield High School in 1970, and served in the Air Force for 11 years. He was a parts distributor at Central Texas International. He loved to fish on the Brazos River near his brother's house, and adored his three grandchildren.
He is survived by his son, Matthew of Waco; daughter, Kristen of Waco; mother, Jean Cummings of Waco; two brothers, Steven Cummings of China Spring and Tom Cummings of Denton; sister, Diana Stekelenburg and her husband, John of Fort Worth; and three grandchildren, Christopher and Faith Fuentes and Mariah Cummings, all of Waco.
Memorials may be made to Cogdell Memorial UMC.
