Albert "Al" Baker, 84 of Waco passed away on Tuesday November 14 at a local hospital. Memorial services will be 10:30 am at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd.
Al was born on June 18, 1921 in Ponca City, OK to Edward and Flora (Dolt) Baker. He married the love of his life, Thelma Rowen on July 19, 1943. Al was a member of the York Rite Masons in Houston, Master Mason at Herring Lodge 1224 and was a Shriner at the Karem Temple here in Waco. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII, was an avid square dancer and loved to travel.
Al is survived by his wife of 63 years, Thelma of Waco; 2 children, 3 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and 2 sisters.
Al was a loving husband, father and friend.
