Alexander Lopez

Alexander Lopez, 73, passed away Saturday April 5, 2014. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday April 10, 2014 at St. Francis Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.

Alexander “Chico” Lopez was born on February 18, 1941 to Mr. and Mrs. Pateleon Lopez. He was born and raised in Marlin, TX and later moved to Waco, TX where he married Mary Fuentes on November 2, 1963. Alex worked for Alco Fasteners for 30 yrs. During his retirement Alex enjoyed fishing and collecting various memorabilia such as Coca Cola, NASCAR, and Elvis.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary Fuentes; daughter, Sandra Lopez; and son, Chris Lopez; brothers, Don, Victor, Paul, and Sam Lopez.

He is survived by his daughter, Sheryl Gatlin and son in law, David Jr.; brothers, Joe John and Esau Lopez; sister, Delia Lopez; grandchildren, Brandon and Kristen Lopez, Amanda, Austin, Aaron, and Alivia Gatlin.
