Alfanelta Fern "Pat" Copeland, 72, of Waco, passed away Monday, September 15, 2008 in Waco.
Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, September 19, 2008 at Waco Memorial Park with the Rev. Ivan Kerr officiating. Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd. A memorial video will be shown at the visitation.
Pat was born July 23, 1936 in Bogie, OK to William Cantrell and Ocie Fleming Cantrell. She moved to Texas at an early age and attended elementary school in Mosheim. She moved to Waco and graduated from Waco High School in 1950. She met Billy J. Copeland and they eloped to El Paso on August 14, 1954. She and Billy traveled the world together and raised 5 children. Pat worked as a concession manager at the Centex Zoo in Waco for 8 years. She always had a zest for life and loved traveling to Bossier, La.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister.
Pat is survived by her daughters; Ronnie Rossiaky and Gail Copeland Thompson and husband, Mark and Jeri Copeland Ochoa and husband, Lance; sons, Danny Copeland and Bill Copeland; sisters, Verlene Obermeir, Geraldine Jones, Joyce Pack and Verl Crabb.
