Alicia B. Bara, age 68, passed away Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at her home.
She was born June 28, 1941 in Clarkwood, Texas to Andres and Daria (Ramos) Benavides. She worked for over 15 years for the Waco ISD. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Alicia had a strong faith in God and she will be missed dearly.
She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Gilbert Bara of Waco; sons and daughters in law, Juan and Rosalie Ayala of Bellmead, and Oscar and Stephanie Ayala of Waco; daughter and son in law, Jacqueline and Joe Felan of Waco; brothers, Lalo Benavides of Laredo, Juan Benavides of Laredo, and Andres Benavides of Houston; stepsons and daughter in law, Gilbert and Paula Bara, Jr. of Lufkin, Moses Bara of Houston, stepdaughters and son in law, Elva Bara of Center, Texas and Linda and Tony Ybarra of Lufkin;
Grandchildren , Cynthia Davila and husband, Richard, Vanessa Ayala, Ruben Romo, Jr. Crystal Contreras,
Roxanne Romo, Kristina Contreras, Oscar Ayala, Jr., Justin Romo, Cecilia Ayala, Victoria Ayala, Andres Ayala; four great grandchildren; She was preceded In death by her parents, a daughter, Alice Contreras, and grandson, Juan Samuel Ayala, Jr. , brothers, Rafael Benavides, Raul Benavies and sister, Bridget Garcia.
