Alicia Cavazos, 71, of Waco, Texas entered into Heaven on Saturday, August 29, 2020. Funeral services will be 10:00 am Friday, September 4, 2020 at OakCrest Funeral Home, with Very Rev. C. Benjamin Magnaye, officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation Was held from 6 to 8 pm, with Rosary Vigil at 7pm on Thursday, September 3, 2020 at OakCrest Funeral Home.

Alicia was born September 27, 1948, in Poplar Grove, Arkansas, to George and Manuelita (Garza) Cavazos. She grew up in Itasca and attended the Itasca schools. She was a loving and caring daughter, mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend to all. She loved her four daughters, and loved being a part of their lives. Alicia worked at Carter’s in Raymondville, Texas and made baby clothes for 15 years, she then went on and started work with Plantation Foods in Bellmead, Texas for 14 years. She continued her work with a private Home Healthcare company for the duration of 12 years. Later in life, Alice was lastly employed with Baylor University for 8 years, from which she retired. Alice always put others first before herself. She was always willing to help anyone and everyone. She was a kind-hearted woman who had the biggest heart. She was loving and caring to her family and always had the biggest smile on her face, which was infectious.

She was preceded in death by her; parents, sisters; Adela Lara, Patsy Cavazos, Josephine Ramos, Mary Perez, Sally Leuschner, Everta Heister, Georgina Cavazos, Lynn Robertson, and brother, Manuel Cavaszos.

Alicia is survived by her loving daughters; Cynthia Conde of Austin, Texas, and her children; Simon Jesse Hernandez, Jr., Desirae Elane Munguia, Brandy Renae Munguia, and Kylee Conde; Catalina Olvera and husband Raul of Indianapolis, Indiana, and their children; Caitlin Ariel Theis, Caden Blake Cox and Brenden Sixx Olvera; Corina Conde-Tinnon and husband Jeffrey, and their children, Abrina Marie Minner, Nikole Rae Reyes, Richard Alexander Kai Reyes, Chloe Marie Tinnon and Ryker William Tinnon, and Christina Conde Serrano and husband Arnulfo, and their children, Monica Danielle Balderrama, and Marcos Emillio Serrano; and four great grandchildren; Jesse Orion Hernandez, Aiden Jayce Hernandez, Emma Rene Tomlin, and Lilyanna Martinez; brothers, Pete Cavazos and wife Mary, Joe Cavazos and wife Esther, and David Heister. Alicia leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and extended family and will be greatly missed.

Pallbearers are: Arnulfo Serrano, Jeff Tinnon, Edward Arevalos, Simon Jesse Hernandez, Jr., Troy Goldsmith, and David Heister.
