Alma Ann McDonald

Alma Ann McDonald, 95, of Waco, passed away June 19, 2010. Mass of Resurrection will be 10 a.m. Thursday, June 24, at St. Louis Catholic Church by Msgr. Mark Deering. The rosary will be recited 7 p.m., Wednesday, June 23, at OakCrest Funeral Home by Deacon Greg George.
Alma was born September 29, 1914. She married Hilary McDonald in 1936 and they made Waco their home. Alma had a long career as a hairdresser, meeting many people and developing friendships. She was a life-long member of St. Louis Catholic Church and served in many aspects of parish life, but her participation in the choir gave her the most joy. Alma also was a member of the Baylor Senior Choir.
Alma is survived by her son, Hilary McDonald and wife, Judy of Barstow, Cal.; daughters, Sue Massey and Jane Padgett, both of Waco; brother, Jess Hudec of Lakeview Terrace, Cal.; sister, Elsie Drexel and husband, Henry of North Plains, Org.; grandchildren, Charlie McDonald and wife Carol of Torrance, Cal., Rosemary Cobb and husband, Robert of Barstow, Cal., Michelle Sackett and husband, Bret of Salt Lake City, Utah, Eric Massey and wife, Sarah of Farmville, NC, Jeffrey Massey and wife, Britny of Colorado Springs, Col., Ryan Massey of Dallas, Laura Padgett of Dallas, Sara Laughlin and husband, Shand of Richardson, Kelly Walker and husband, Ryan of Frisco, and 11 great grandchildren.
