Alvin Ralph Nobles, 88, of Waco, passed away July 12, 2005. Masonic graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, July 18, 2005 at Waco Memorial Park with the Rev. Kay Hawkins officiating.
Alvin was a former electrical inspector for the City of Waco and had also worked at Brazos River Authority for over 20 years.
He was a proud, active Mason and Shriner, and was a past worshipful master of the Herring Lodge.
He was a member of Cogdell United Methodist Church and the Eastern Star.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mildred, a longtime nurse for Dr. Simpson in Waco. They loved to travel with their camper, and even went to Alaska.
Alvin is remembered as a devoted Christian, who was a true gentleman at all times. He was noted for his great personality and humor.
He ate breakfast regularly with his friends at McDonalds, where even the employees liked and cared for him.
He is survived by a nephew, Jim Nobles of Albany, Texas, who hand made the casket for his uncle.
