Amanda Flores

Amanda Marie Flores, 22, passed away December 22, 2010.

Mass will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2010 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church by Father Lawrence Solar. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 27, at OakCrest Funeral Home with the rosary at 7 p.m.

Amanda was born March 19, 1988 in Waco to Jose G. Flores and Sharon Davis Kuhl.

She was going to graduate Friday, Dec. 17, from the University of Texas at Tyler with a bachelor's degree in nursing, but was involved in an accident and later died from her injuries. She will be buried in the cap and gown that she would have proudly worn at her graduation. She was a loving daughter and sister, and we were always so proud of her.

Amanda loved everyone, and had a life-long compassion to care for others especially sick infants.

Amanda is survived by her father, Jose G. Flores and his wife, Cindy, of Waco; mother, Sharon Davis Kuhl and husband, Coy, of Yantis; brothers, Joseph Flores of Waco, Dakota Weir and wife, Heather of Sulphur Springs, and Rowdy Hargett of Como; sisters, Stephanie Afflerbach and husband, Justin of LaVernia, Kristin Lingle and husband, Cody, of Spring, and Skye Moore of Como; grandparents, Ruben Flores of Brownsville, and Ralph and Marie Davis of Waco; aunt, Diana Stephens of LaFeria; and uncle, Keith Davis of Waco.
