Andrea Oquendo, 78, passed away Monday, February 10, 2014 in Irving, Texas.
Mass will be 10 a.m. Friday Feb. 14 at St. Francis Catholic Church with burial following at Oakwood Cemetery. Rosary will be 6 p.m. Thursday at OakCrest Funeral Home.
Andrea was born and raised in Waco. On July 2, 1965, she married Herman Oquendo. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who loved to cook and care for her family.
A very giving person, Andrea liked to help others, often donating clothing and even helping to raise nieces and nephews. She was active in her church, and instilled her faith in your family.
She was preceded in death by her son, Herman Oquendo, Jr..
She is survived by her husband, Herman; sons, Jesus Oquendo and wife, Hope of Euless, and Joe Oquendo of Irving; sister, Petra Ramirez; grandchildren, Enrique, Sebastian, Marisa, Anthony, Joe Jr., Belerica, Christian and Cordero; many nieces and nephews, godchildren, and extended family in Puerto Rico.
