Andrew "Chito" Garcia, 76, of Waco passed away March 12, 2011 at Providence Health Center. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Thursday, March 17, 2011 at St. Francis Catholic Church with Father Roman Burgos as celebrant. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 16 with a Rosary Service at 7 p.m. led by Deacon Jessie C. Garza at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd.
Andrew was born in Otto to Joe Marie and Eulojia (Fernandez) Garcia. Andrew maintained the facilities at a local daycare. He loved his family, cared deeply for those around him, and was always smiling under the brim of his black hat.
Andrew was preceded in death by his daughter, Victoria Chavez, and son, Tony Garcia.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Angie Guridy and husband, Randy, Eva Sisneroz and husband, Ray, Rita Calderon and husband, Guadalupe,and Denise Cruz; sons Michael Garcia, and Andrew Garcia and wife, Maria; sisters, Anita Aguilar, Ophelia Jimenez, Jovita Hernandez; brother, Ray Garcia, 23 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
