Angelita (Helen) Ramirez Herrera



Angelita Herrera, age 89, of Waco, Texas passed away, surrounded by
family in the early morning hours of Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at her home.

There will be visitation hours from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Monday,
July 17, 2023 at Oakcrest Funeral Home at 4520 Bosque Dr., Waco, TX
76710. Her service will be at 12:00 pm.

The graveside service will be held at Waco Memorial Park, Tuesday,
July 18, 2023 at 11:00am. Officiating will be her eldest son, Rev. Manuel R.
Herrera, Jr., Pastor of Church of the Good Shepherd in Robinson, Texas.

The pallbearers will be: Angelo E. Salazar, great grandson; Steven D.
Torres, great grandson; Melvin T. Walker, great grandson; Larry Edward
Herrera, great grandson; Manuel David Herrera, great grandson; Matthew
Herrera, grandson, and Armando Torres, grandson.

Angelita was born April 14, 1934 to Bisente A. Ramirez Sr., and Irenia Ramirez in
Southerland Springs, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents; her
husband, Rev. Manuel G. Herrera, Sr.; her daughters, Janie Herrera and
Debbie Olivo; her son, Albert Herrera, Sr., and her granddaughter, Ashley
Herrera.

She was married to the love of her life, Manuel G. Herrera, Sr., in
Waco, TX on May 1, 1966 by Pastor C.J. Resendez. They had 12 children.

She is survived by her children, Rev. Manuel R. Herrera, Jr., and wife Janie;
Larry Herrera, Sr., and wife Patricia; Mary Frances Herrera; Angela Herrera;
Michael Herrera, Sr., and wife Christina; Rudy Herrera, Sr., and wife
Rosalinda; son-in-law, Rev. David Olivo; Moses Herrera and wife Denise;
Adam Herrera; and Eve Herrera Gutierrez; her 45 grandchildren, her 69 great
great grandchildren, and her 9 great great-great grandchildren. Her sisters
Faye Frias and husband Jose of Waco, Filamena Aleman of Waco, and
Dominga Prado of Bryan.

She was a strong Christian woman of great faith known for her kindness
and loving personality. She supported her husband's ministry for 55 years,
during his pastorship and outreach evangelism. She enjoyed singing gospel
music and the company of her family and friends.
