Ann Adams, 73, of Waco went into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ from her home on Sunday, March 23, 2008.

A Celebration of Life service, led by Pastor Barry Camp, will be held at Highland Baptist Church in Waco at 11a.m. Wednesday, March 26.

Ann was born July 3, 1934 in Beebe, Arkansas to Fred and Frances Phillips. She attended Little Rock elementary schools and graduated from Little Rock High School.

In 1970, while working as an interior designer in Ft. Worth, TX, she met Capt. C. C. Adams a USAF officer then stationed at Carswell Air Force Base. They were married in November 1971. Future USAF assignments took the family to Rapid City, SD, Fairbanks, Alaska, Sacramento, CA and Omaha, Nebraska. Ann stayed active in interior design, but was first and foremost a loving wife, mother, grandmother and Christian Witness.
Ann's legacy is her intense love for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She never knew a stranger. Her greatest joy was to meet someone for the first time and share the Good News of Jesus Christ. She led countless numbers of individuals to the Lord. She studied God's Word daily and was a relentless Prayer Warrior praying daily for her family, her friends and the Lost. Ann's favorite scripture was Psalm 91.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister Mary Frances Barnes.

She is survived by her husband of 36 years Col. C.C. Adams (USAF, Retired) of Waco; son Michael Adams and wife Jammie of Albuquerque, NM, step-daughter Kim LaFargue and husband Terry of Dallas, TX, step-daughter Carey Adams of Dallas, TX, step-son Brett Adams of Mission Viejo, CA, brother, Col. John Phillips (USAF, Retired) and wife Elizabeth of Little Rock, AR, four grandchildren, three nieces and two nephews.
